Reward Scale

Each reported bug will be assessed based on its severity, with rewards ranging from $50 to $500 per bug, depending on the level of impact on the system’s security and functionality.

  • Critical: Issues with severe reputational, legal, or financial impact affecting numerous users.
  • High: Issues affecting individual users with moderate financial risk.
  • Medium: Relatively low-risk issues not posing a threat to user funds.
  • Low/Informational: Issues relevant to security best practices without immediate risk.

Note: Bug bounties will be distributed within 10 days after the Gelios mainnet launch!!!

Report any bugs you discover to this FORM and engage with the Gelios community on Telegram & Discord for further discussion and clarification.

Scope of the Program

The Gelios Testnet Bug Bounty Program targets vulnerabilities and bugs in the Gelios smart contract on the Bitcoin Network and https://explorer-testnet.gelios.io/.

While we encourage thorough exploration, it’s essential to note that certain areas are not within the scope of this program. These include:

  • Third-party contracts: We don’t handle bugs in contracts we don’t control.
  • Duplicates: Already reported bugs don’t qualify.
  • External services: Bug issues solely outside Gelios integration code are not eligible.
  • Privileged access: Bugs requiring special roles to exploit are out.
  • Social engineering: We don’t reward vulnerabilities based on tricking users.

Any bug outside of these areas, but endangering Gelios users’ funds, will be considered within the program’s scope.

Remember the following rules:

  • Public disclosure of vulnerabilities before reporting them disqualifies you from receiving a bounty.
  • The Gelios team has the final say in determining the eligibility and reward amount for each submission.
  • The terms and conditions of this program may be altered at any time.

⚠️ It’s crucial to note that if the same bug is reported more than once, the initial submitter receives the bounty.
